Statement of aims:
This practice recognises and accepts its responsibilities to provide care of a high standard which is both clinically and cost-effective, appropriate and delivered with proper regard to the dignity and autonomy of our patients.
THIS PRACTICE OPERATES A QUALITY ASSURANCE SYSTEM WHICH IS COMMITTED TO ENSURE THAT:
All dental care provided is of a consistent quality
Effective measures of infection control are used based on advice given by the British Dental Association
Providing all legal requirements are satisfied for our staff and patients in line with Health and Safety requirements
We have a system to ensure that all legal requirements relating to radiological protection ( x-rays) are satisfied. Digital Images are now used which reduces patient dose for safety and improves our diagnostic skills.
Setting and maintaining high standards in both clinical and non-clinical situations in accordance with the NEW NHS England Standards for decontaminating Instruments and Surgery Hygiene.
Care and monitoring of the whole oral area for all our patients
Discussion of treatment options and costs with our patients at the appropriate time and to take into account the views of our patients in the treatment planning process
Consultation with our patients on the services operated by the practice, including the operation of a complaints procedure in accordance with the current guidelines
Some patients may have concerns about personal information held at computer databases, however, we are fully registered with the Data Protection Registrar and confirm to the regulations concerning the holding of patients records on computer and manual form under the Data Protection Act.
- As a patient, you are entitled to inspect any information we hold with respect to your patient record. Under the Data Protection Act, we may make a charge for doing this and currently we are able to provide copies of patient's records within ten working days for a charge of £20.00
Consultation with our staff through the medium of regular meetings
Continued professional development for all clinical members of the practice in line with the General Dental Council's requirements.
Continued training for all staff, appropriate to the needs of the practice and our patients
Monitoring all clinical procedures to ensure that safe practice is maintained
